Easy WordPress Install with Cloudways Hosting

Building a Website Has 4 Major Parts to it

While starting a website can seem like a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be. With the right tools and a bit of guidance, anyone can create a professional-looking website in no time. In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of registering a website, finding a hosting provider, installing WordPress, and designing your site with a WordPress theme.

First, let’s talk about registering a website. When you register a website, you’re essentially reserving a unique address (also known as a domain name) for your site. For example, if you want your website to be called “mywebsite.com,” you would register that domain name so that no one else can use it.

There are many companies that offer domain name registration services, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, and Network Solutions. When choosing a registrar, it’s important to consider factors such as price, customer service, and whether they offer additional services such as email hosting or website builders.

So the first step is going to be to pick a domain name and if this is your first website, I wouldn’t stress out about it too much.

Domain names are cheap (only $10/year) and you can think of this as a learning experience.

Once you have your domain name registered, you’ll need to find a hosting provider. A hosting provider is a company that stores your website files on their servers so that they can be accessed by visitors to your site. There are a lot of different options but I have used a lot of them, GoDaddy, HostGator, BlueHost, etc. and they’re all extremely slow compared to Cloudways. Cloudways is FAST, has 1 click WordPress install, free backups, a free SSL certificate and is pay as you go.

When choosing a hosting provider, you’ll want to consider factors such as the amount of storage and bandwidth they offer, as well as the level of customer support they provide. It’s also a good idea to look for a provider that offers easy WordPress installation, as this will make the next step of the process much simpler.

I recommend using Cloudways because they have extremely fast hosting at a great price.

With your domain name and hosting set up, you’re ready to install WordPress. WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) that allows you to easily create and manage your website. Many hosting providers offer a one-click installation process for WordPress, so you can have it up and running in just a few minutes.

Once WordPress is installed, you’re ready to start designing your site. One of the great things about WordPress is that there are thousands of themes available, both free and paid, that you can use to give your site a professional look.

When choosing a theme, it’s important to consider factors such as the overall design, the level of customization it offers, and whether it’s responsive (meaning it looks good on both desktop and mobile devices).

Hestia is a great free theme to start out with and is fine for basic sites.

For more advanced sites using a Premium Theme from Elegant Themes like DIVI is recommended.

After you have chosen the theme you want to use, you can start customizing it to suit your needs. This may include adding pages, creating posts, and uploading images and videos. WordPress also has a wide range of plugins available, which can add extra functionality to your site such as contact forms, social media integration, and more.

Once your site is designed and configured to your liking, you can then publish it for the world to see!
